In the charming village of Montefalcone Appennino, on Via Sisto V, stands Palazzo Mercuri, a noble residence named after an ancient local family, which lived there until the 1960s. The aristocratic palace was built between the late 18th and early 19th centuries through the restoration of earlier structures that were unified according to a new architectural design. The distinction between the two original buildings is still visible in the different levels of finishing, particularly where the framing of the floor slabs changes completely.
